Fresh Seeds of Calendula officinalis 'Sherbet Fizz' (Pot Marigold) – with full instructions for germination.

A true showstopper of a plant with wonderfully contrasting, long-lasting flowering display of lemon-buff inner petals, progressing to shades of peach and orange, with fascinating maroon tips and undersides. 

The plants fit brilliantly within spaces in borders, perfect for meadow-style or cottage-style gardens.

Highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators, it can also act as a trap crop, trapping pests such as aphids and thrips, due to its sticky sap – therefore helping keep other plants or crops pest-free.

Exceptionally long flowering period from spring until late autumn, with the flowering being extended by deadheading spent flowers – and the plants themselves can even be stimulated to keep on growing until the following year by using the same pruning approach, thereby acting as a perennial (otherwise acting as self-seeding annuals).

Fully Frost hardy.

Germination

Calendula officinalis 'Sherbet Fizz'🌱 Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours. Sow seeds 1cm deep within propagation compost. Keep compost evenly moist at all times at 21°C (70°F). A heated propagator is ideal. Non-heated propagators can be placed within direct sunlight in a warm room to trap in heat and humidity. Approx. germination time: from 10-60 days onwards.
